The examples below show the most frequent BRI and PRI port configuration in Patton gateways
BRI Port NT with power - device has no power of its own for example an ISDN phone NT without power - device has its own power source for example asterisk with sangoma a500 card PRI Port
NET - patton is the clock source USER - patton synchronizes with timer available on the PRI port. BRI - NT - without power
port bri 0 0 clock master encapsulation q921
q921 protocol pmp uni-side auto encapsulation q931 q931 protocol dss1 uni-side net encapsulation cc-isdn bind interface IF_BRI_00 switch port bri 0 0 no shutdown BRI - NT - with power
port bri 0 0 power-feed clock master encapsulation q921
q921 protocol pmp uni-side auto encapsulation q931 q931 protocol dss1 uni-side net encapsulation cc-isdn bind interface IF_BRI_00 switch port bri 0 0 no shutdown BRI - TE port bri 0 0 clock slave encapsulation q921 q921 protocol pmp uni-side auto encapsulation q931 q931 protocol dss1 uni-side user encapsulation cc-isdn bind interface IF_BRI_00 switch port bri 0 0 no shutdown PRI - USER port e1t1 0 0 port-type e1 clock slave framing crc4 encapsulation q921 q921 uni-side user encapsulation q931 q931 protocol dss1 uni-side user bchan-number-order ascending encapsulation cc-isdn bind interface IF_PRI_00 port e1t1 0 1 no shutdown PRI - NET port e1t1 0 1 port-type e1 clock master framing crc4 encapsulation q921 q921 uni-side net encapsulation q931 q931 protocol dss1 uni-side net bchan-number-order ascending encapsulation cc-isdn bind interface IF_PRI_00 port e1t1 0 1 no shutdown
